Bringing nature and manmade material together in this competition entry, this cabin design seeks to introduce a piece of modernity into the wilderness of this forest. While doing so, it also wants to keep a sort of essence of what a typical cabin is through the use of certain materials and construction techniques. It accomplishes this by also combining the typical box shape and curviture to, again, bring to opposites together into one structure. This compund seeks to bridge community and isolation as well as modernism and nature.
